American Research & Management Co. is based just off of Cape Cod in the seaside town of Marion, Massachusetts (population 5,000). Settled shortly after the Pilgrims arrived in 1620, the town fronts on Sippican Harbor, said to be the prettiest harbor on Buzzards Bay, a major sailing and fishing destination in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The lighthouse on Bird Island stands at the mouth of our harbor. For centuries this simple structure served as a guiding light and beacon of safety for hard-working mariners returning home at night after weeks or months at sea. Today Bird Island Lighthouse serves as our emblem, reminding us of our coastal New England heritage, our core values of steadfastness, trust and integrity, and our mission to provide clients with the guidance and sense of security needed to achieve financial success for themselves and future generations.
